Saulo shows James how to defend the single leg when his opponent is in the turtle position, grabbing his leg. Saulo reaches his outside arm all the way underneath his opponent's body, to grab his elbow. He can use his other hand to help feed him the elbow. With this grip, he pulls his opponent's base out from underneath him, and then back steps til he establishes side control.
