Xande is playing his collar guard, but his opponent wants to keep distance to avoid his attacks, so he backs away from Xande. This gives Xande space, so he immediately does his get up and grabs his opponent's pants. By pulling with the pants grip and pushing with the collar grip, Xande sweeps and comes to the top.

While playing the collar guard with the collar and sleeve control, Xande is unable to hit the arm drag he showed in the last position, so instead he looks for the collar drag. The hand that controls the sleeve lets go and posts on the mat, his foot comes to the outside and he pulls the collar hard, bringing his opponent's face to the mat. Now he can come up to the back as he did in the last position, or if the arm gets trapped between his legs, he can set up the crucifix.

While playing the collar guard, Xande is controlling his opponent's collar and sleeve, with one foot on the hip and one on the knee. In one motion, Xande pulls the arm across his body and closes his guard on the side of his opponent's body. The elbow of his arm controlling the collar is on the ground and he reaches across the back, grabbing the armpit. He uses the armpit grip and his top leg to pull himself on top of his opponent's back, and rolls through to end up in a good back take position.

Xande shows another effective choke he uses from the collar guard, the loop choke. Already with his collar grip, Xande grabs the back of his opponent's head and shoves it under his armpit, making sure he drops the weight of his shoulder down. Blocking the far side arm, Xande rolls to his back, placing his head in the hole between their bodies. From here, he grabs the other arm for leverage and finishes the choke. If his opponent rolls, he can roll with him and finish the choke.
