Now he has the space to throw his leg over the shoulder to catch the omoplata.

Next he frames his forearm against the neck, and brings his bottom leg out to place his foot on the hip. Now he removes the knee shield, and brings the knee above his elbow to trap his opponent's arm. As soon as his thigh touches the arm, he extends his body so he can throw his leg over the shoulder to catch the omoplata.

While playing the collar sleeve guard, Xande keeps his outside foot on the far hip and escapes his hips to lasso the arm he's controlling. His preference is to keep the lasso foot deep near the hip, and he brings his own hips back to the center. His opponent walks to the free side, trying to pass, so Xande releases the sleeve grip and grabs the elbow. He stretches his leg and pulls the elbow at the same time, and throws his leg over the shoulder to catch the omoplata.

Again Xande is in the closed guard with the cross sleeve grip, and his opponent stands up to try to pass. Xande swims his arm under the leg for the muscle sweep, but now his hips drop low, rather than stay up. Instead of swinging his leg for the ballerina catch, he brings his far foot onto the shoulder, and uses it to base as he picks up his hips and catches the omoplata with his other leg. He can also do the same shoulder catch using a pants grip rather than trapping the leg with his arm.

From the closed guard, Xande swims his arms inside his opponent's arms to spread them out and breaks his posture by pulling him in with his legs. One hand goes behind the neck and the other arm traps the arm he will attack. He opens his guard to escape his hips to the attacking side. His opponent postures up some, so he frames against his neck and swings his leg over the shoulder. If you are flexible, you can grab your leg to help pull it over. Once the leg is over the shoulder, adjust your hips and you are in the omoplata position, ready to use any of the previous finishes shown.

Again starting with the omoplata locked, Xande sits up into the S-position, but is having trouble finishing the omoplata on his flexible opponent. He reaches over the back, grabs the lapel and feeds it to his other hand under the neck. His hand over the back now grabs the other lapel so he can lean forward and finish the clock choke. Another option is to let his opponent free his arm, and then walk toward the head to finish the choke.
