He finds a stable base here and his opponent will turn in to him, trying to stop him from passing. Victor uses his elbow to control the turn, and can pull him on his side more, sinking his cross grip in deep. Now he can grab the gi on the other side of the neck and finish a choke.

Once again from his opponent's single leg X-guard, Victor controls both legs, pulling the one on his hip and pushing the one hooking his thigh. When the hook is behind his knee, he turns his own knee in and windshield wipers his leg over the hook. Now he stretches the leg back away from him and drops his outside knee to the mat, placing himself in the three quarter mount. From here he can get his underhooks up high and free his leg to take the mount.
