After attempting the previously shown half guard pass to mount, Xande now shows the variation he was able to use against his opponent. Xande used his knee on the stomach to keep pressure, swam his arm in for the underhook, and his knee now dropped to the mat in a knee cut position. However, Xande was looking for the mount, so he made the cross face grip, turned his hip in and slid his knee back across the stomach. Now he forces his knee down and opens his elbow to control his opponent's arm. Using his free foot, he blocks the leg and helps free his other foot to mount his opponent.
