Leticia shows another common self defense situation when her attacker is in her guard choking her. She crosses her arms with one going under her attackers arm and cupping the other elbow, and her other arm reaches across to grab the shoulder. She climbs her legs over her attacker's shoulders and closes a high guard. Now she passes her leg over the head, grabs the wrist with both hands, and raises her hips off the ground to finish the armbar.

Again, Mario's opponent stands up while he has sleeve control, so he pushes off her shin to put his hip on her knee, and reaches inside the near leg. He uses his hips to bump her down with the muscle sweep. His opponent reacts by coming back to the top, and as she does, Mario throws his leg over her shoulder and locks the triangle. Now he grabs his shin to finish the choke, or he has the option for the armbar.

Mario is controlling his opponent's same side sleeve from the closed guard, and she stands up, looking to pass. With his other hand, he pushes off her shin to move to the side, and then swims his arm all the way across to the outside of her other leg. Using his hip and his arm, he sweeps her to the mat. He opens his leg to on the side he's controlling the sleeve, escapes his hips, and is now in position to finish the armbar.

From the closed guard, Mario controls his opponent with a cross collar and triceps grips, and pulls her down with the help of his legs. He reaches over the back and grabs the belt to keep her down, puts his foot on her hip and turns on his side. His hand on the belt now comes behind her neck, and under his other arm. Now he stretches his arms and opens his elbow to finish the choke.

From inside his closed guard, Mario's opponent is controlling his collar and his hip, so he turns to the side of the hip control, and sits up. He posts his hand on the mat and reaches over her back and grabs the belt, trapping her arm in between their bodies. He lays back down on the mat, bringing her down with him, and places his foot on her hip on the same side as the belt grip. His other hand swims under her arm and controls her biceps. He brings his knee up so his shin is on the biceps, and he stretches his body to break her grip on him. Now he controls her wrist and pushes it so he can bring his leg over her head to lock the triangle. To finish, he prefers to keep his hand on his shin and swim his other arm under her leg to turn himself and tighten the triangle.

He lets go of the collar and reaches across the arm, and cups his own thigh, keeping the arm trapped. Now he reaches underneath to the far leg, and spins himself under his opponent, forcing her to roll and landing in the armbar.

Next he puts his foot on the hip, pivots and climbs his guard high on top of her shoulder. Now he controls the collar to keep her posture down, and passes his leg over her head. His outside arm comes across and holds his thigh, and his inside arm goes across her legs so he can spin underneath her. Completing the spin, he forces her to roll, and is in position to finish the armbar.

His opponent reacts by grabbing his hand, so Xande pushes the wrist in and closes his triangle. Now he can raise his hips to bring the other arm across, and squeeze to finish the triangle.

Eventually Xande settles in and controls the hips to keep his opponent down.
