Xande opens his elbow on the collar grip to make a frame against his opponent's neck, and his other arm posts on the mat. With the help of his bottom leg, Xande is able to escape his hips and replace the guard.

Xande starts in a reverse De La Riva guard, gripping the collar and ankle, and uses his hook to kick his opponent forward. When his opponent is off balance, Xande releases the collar grip to under hook the leg, and turns to his side, dropping his legs to make the Z-guard. With the leg tight to his body, he pushes the knee with his top leg to knock his opponent back. Now he can come up to finish the sweep.

He tries to hip escape and replace the guard, but it does not work this time, so he brings his hand from the hip to help him swim his head under the armpit. From here he posts on his elbow and grabs the pants at the hip to find the leverage to hip escape. Now he can turn belly down, or he also has the option to replace the guard.

From here, he continues to escape until he can replace the guard.

Max immediately makes a choking grip on the lapel, and shows options to finish the choke by either keeping the bottom lapel grip, or releasing it and reaching across to the material on the shoulder.

A common reaction is for his opponent to whizzer, so Max reaches his free hand over the back to grab the belt, and sweeps by rolling to his back. Once he has swept his opponent, he switches his lapel grip again, and grips the sleeve to control his opponent.
