Now Xande's opponent stuffs his leg inside and steps over to headquarters position. Right away, Xande turns his hips to the opposite side his opponent stepped to. He pulls the collar and kicks his foot in the butt to make his opponent fall to the side and base. Now he kicks the far leg away, and from here he has many options to either replace his guard or set up different sweeps.

Xande has his collar sleeve guard and once again his opponent stands up and backs away to pass. Xande sits up and lets go of the sleeve grip and posts his hand on the mat, and his opponent gets around his legs and to his side. Xande lowers his body, bending over to the side of his post, and pushes off his hand to escape his hips away. Xande is playing the collar and sleeve guard, and his opponent stands and backs away, looking to pass. Xande sits up, keeping the collar grip, but letting go of the sleeve grip so he can post his hand on the mat. When his opponent tries to go around, Xande pushes off his posted hand and follows, staying square to him. Xande has the collar and sleeve guard grips and his opponent pushes down his knee shield. By simply turning his collar hand from 12 o'clock to 2 o'clock position, he can get his first choking grip under the neck. Now his other hand lets go of the sleeve and grabs the gi at the shoulder to make his second choking grip. Here he can just pull to his chest to finish, or use his guard replacing techniques to get the closed guard and have some better leverage to finish the choke.Add to Favorites 881 Remove From Favorites 2670 days ago

Monique continues her attacks from the omoplata sweep, but this time her opponent defends her attempts at the armbar and the triangle, and brings her far arm inside the legs. With her arm closest to her opponent's head, Monique grabs the far arm and hugs to her chest, trapping both arms together. She posts her other hand on the mat and locks a triangle with her legs around both arms. From here she can finish by staying on top and extending either arm, or she can choose an arm and spin to that side to finish the submission.Add to Favorites 622 Remove From Favorites 2678 days ago

Monique has both sleeve grips and makes a De La Riva hook. She kicks her opponent's other leg back and pulls the sleeves, stretching her arms and breaking her posture. Now she raises her hips and throws her leg up behind her opponent's neck to bite down on the triangle. She drags the arm across her body and locks the triangle with her other leg to finish the choke. She can also do this position using the collar and sleeve grip.
