Professor Gustavo is in his opponent's knee shield half guard, so his first step is to make grips on the collar and hip, trapping the knee shield leg with his arm. He controls the position here, and when he's ready, he switches his grip from the collar to the bottom knee, and steps his inside leg up. Next he comes up on both feet, keeping his base low, and runs to the other side, smashing the legs. Keeping his grip on the knee, Gustavo drops his shoulder on the hip, makes a collar grip with his other hand, and cuts his knee across the legs to pass the guard.

Josh is in half guard, and his opponent has the underhook and has smashed his shield. Josh locks a good overhook on his opponent's arm, and gets control of the other wrist. He brings the wrist to his other hand, and locks a Kimura type grip, pinning his opponent's arm to the chest. From here, he slides his top knee out and puts it over the back, and plants his bottom foot to escape his hips and get his leg free so he can throw it over the shoulder and cross his feet. Keeping his overhook, Josh releases the wrist grip and grabs the back of the head. Now he can let go of the overhook to grab his shin. From here, he adjusts his hips and legs to lock the triangle and finish.

With his back hand, he picks up the hip and threads his other arm underneath the body, clasping his hands together at the back. From here, he puts his head on the outside, his shoulder in the belly and gets on his toes to walk toward the legs before stepping back to free himself from his opponent's hook. Now he steps his way to the side and establishes side control.

Starting from the front headlock position, Josh has one arm going over the shoulder and the other under the opposite arm, and has a tight seat belt grip under his opponent's chest. He slides he arm that is over the shoulder in deep so he can make a Gable grip at the armpit, and use his arm to push his opponent's arm across his own face. Next he slides his hip in so his thigh is blocking the elbow, and then he scoots in more so his shin is hooking across his hips. He switches his Gable grip back to a seat belt grip, and throws his other leg over the back before raising his hips and pulling his arm through to finish the choke.

From turtle position, Victor pulls his opponent down and secures his collar grips, looking to take the back as he did in his first technique. However, this time his opponent turns belly down and does not allow him to get any hooks. Victor gets to his knees and switches his hips to face toward the head and steps his leg out wide. With his weight pushing down on his opponent's neck, Victor walks his legs to the top as he tightens the choke.

Xande begins in his opponent's half guard, and his first idea is to get the underhook high in the armpit on the opposite side he is passing to, and to place his head next to his opponent's head on the same side he is passing to. His inside hip stays connected and putting pressure on the thigh, and his outside leg posts far out, staying open and distributing his weight. With his free hand, he reaches down and grabs the pants to control the leg. From here, he has the leverage to maintain his base and defend any sweep attempts. When he has the space and opportunity, Xande can begin to pass by bringing his knee up and cutting it to the outside, working for the knee cut pass.
