From the onset of the fight, Eduardo always looks to control the sleeve grip first, and then make the cross collar grip. For this throw, he exposes his back to his opponent, causing him to run around to attack the back. This opens the angle for Eduardo to drop to his knees and throw his opponent with a seoi nage.Add to Favorites 795 Remove From Favorites 2244 days ago
From standing up, Eduardo first gets a cross collar and sleeve grip. When his opponent shoots in to grab his leg, Eduardo stuffs the takedown with his collar grip and pulls the arm between his legs. Next he wraps his arm around the neck like a guillotine, while keeping the collar grip, and then dives his arm and head underneath his opponent's body. He rolls him down to the mat ending up on his back, and feeds his arm between the legs. From the S-mount, when Saulo is attacking the arm and throws his leg over the head, it is very important that he stays leaning at an angle and not rising up. Again, by lifting his body, he gives his opponent the space to free his arm. In the case his opponent doesn't push, and leaves his arm trapped, Saulo controls the chicken wing and works for head and arm control.Add to Favorites 813 Remove From Favorites 2251 days ago
Correcting a common mistake, Saulo points out how your leg must swing fluidly to the S mount, while keeping your hips low. Many people raise their hips to get there, and end up giving too much space for their opponent to escape. That's why you need to make sure swing your leg along the mat without sitting up.Add to Favorites 732 Remove From Favorites 2252 days ago
