Mario first shows a variation of the previous drill, where he spins his opponent and passes to north-south. Next he shows a knee slice drill, again when his opponent sits up to play guard. Mario grabs the back of her gi and her knee, and steps his leg inside her legs. He pushes her down to the mat, and slides his knee across her thigh to pass the guard. Again, he immediately gets up and repeats the drill at a fast pace.

To start off the class, Mario teaches a variation of the toreando guard pass to warm up with. His opponent sits in attempt to establish a guard, so Mario immediately blocks her hip with his hand, keeping his elbow inside her leg. His other goes on top of her other knee. Keeping his legs away from her, he pushes her knee to the side, causing her to spin, and he lowers his weight to gain side control. He gets up and repeats to make this a fast and dynamic warm up drill.

From the De La Riva guard, Mario is the pants and the same side collar, and his free foot is hooking behind the far knee. He circles his De La Riva hook to the inside of the leg and hooks at her hip with his knee outside her knee. He pulls and uses his hooks to bring her to the side and force her to post her hands. Now he lets go of the collar and grabs her triceps, and when she attempts to stand back up, he lifts her off the mat with his hooks. He pushes her leg away, and attacks her back, immediately getting the seat belt grip, and opens her up to place his second hook.

He moves his foot from the biceps to the hip, sits up, and pulls his opponent up off her feet as he rocks back. Now he spins her toward the De La Riva hook, and as she is spinning, he releases the hook and throws it over her head, setting up the armbar as she lands on the mat perpendicular to him.

While controlling the collar and ankle, he pulls her in with the help of his legs, and when she steps back, he arches on his shoulder and stretches his legs to sink the deep De Le Riva hook. His other foot goes behind the far knee to make an X-hook, and he makes a sleeve grip. Now he pulls her in and knocks her back to the mat, and rolls til he is on his other side. He grabs the pants and releases his deep De La Riva hook to set up his first back take hook. Now using his free leg, he forces his opponent to roll, exposing her back so he can get the second hook.

He uses his hips to bump her down with the muscle sweep. His opponent reacts by coming back to the top, and as she does, Mario throws his leg over her shoulder and locks the triangle. Now he grabs his shin to finish the choke, or he has the option for the armbar.

He posts his hand on the mat and reaches over her back and grabs the belt, trapping her arm in between their bodies. He lays back down on the mat, bringing her down with him, and places his foot on her hip on the same side as the belt grip. His other hand swims under her arm and controls her biceps. He brings his knee up so his shin is on the biceps, and he stretches his body to break her grip on him. Now he controls her wrist and pushes it so he can bring his leg over her head to lock the triangle. To finish, he prefers to keep his hand on his shin and swim his other arm under her leg to turn himself and tighten the triangle.

Rather than wrapping the lapel around the arm, he wraps it around the back of her neck, and closes his elbows together and pulls her down to his body to finish the choke.
