With a simple duck under, Tye gets to Kade's back while standing and controls him with a body lock. He throws his right leg over Kade's leg and wraps it inside his calf to make a twister hook. Now he turns to face the opposite and throws his right arm over him, reaching over his back and hugging his body. Next Tye rolls over his right shoulder, taking Kade down with him, and stretches his hook leg out to open space for him to place his second hook and establish back control.

From standing, Kade grabs the cross collar and sleeve grips on Tye. For a traditional seoi nage, he would turn from the inside, however, in this variation he turns from the outside to avoid exposing his back. As he turns and steps in, he raises Tye's arm and places it on his shoulder. He drops to his knees and pulls down on the collar and sleeve. Because Tye's arm is across his body, he will have a very difficult time trying to take Kade's back. Now Kade leans forward and pulls Tye over his body to finish the takedown.

Kade first makes grips on the near pant leg and on the pants at the waist. Next, Kade torques his knee to the inside, and Tye feels that he can push himself up to mount. As he's coming to the top, Kade pushes his leg inside and turns into him, coming up on his elbow and placing his first hook. Now he can work to get his seat belt grip and place the second hook for back control.

Kade's first step to defend is to grab Tye's top pant leg, and his other hand grabs the same side collar and he straightens his arm to keep Tye at bay. Kade also posts his leg behind him and stretches out the pants grip to stop Tye from rolling. From here, he can drop his head on Tye's chest and kick his leg free so he can pass to side control.

Next he brings both his feet to the outside of Kade's hips, and pinches his knees together, trapping Kade's feet. He turns to one side, slicing his shin across and freeing it of Kade's hook, and then turns back the other way, dropping his weight on top of both of Kade's legs. Now he can back step and establish side control.

Kade is in his half guard and sets up his position the same as last time, by getting the underhook, shooting his knee shield through, torquing Tye's leg and then posting up on his elbow to get to his knees. But now, Tye puts the whizzer on Kade, preventing him from bumping him forward as he did last time. So instead, Kade reaches across to grab the far leg, and drives his weight forward, sweeping Tye. He lands in a great position to immediately look to pass the guard and establish side control.

He kicks his knee shield leg straight, and uses it to hook Tye's ankle and torque it back, forcing Tye's hips open. Now he can release the pants grip, post up on his elbow and get on both knees. From here Kade forces Tye forward with a big bump from his shoulder, and comes up top to take his back.
