Again from three quarter mount, Victor's opponent is keeping curled up to defend, so Victor slides his weight down and locks a triangle with his legs, trapping his opponent's leg. Now Victor brings his top shoulder toward his opponent's butt, and does a front roll, forcing his opponent to roll with him. After his roll, he plants his free foot on the mat to escape his hips, and creates the space to place his second hook and establish back control.

Again from three quarter mount, Victor slides his body down and keeps his weight on his opponent's leg and looks to get the cross face. But this time his opponent is defending by staying on his side and blocking Victor's arm. Now Victor uses his stomach to trap the arm, and reaches around behind the head and grabs the wrist. Next he brings his free leg up so his knee is behind the shoulders, and he feeds his other hand through, connecting his Kimura grip. From here he just opens his knee and sits back, pulling his opponent on top of him before rolling to the other side, where he can throw on his second hook and establish back control.

Victor is on top of his opponent, almost in the mount position, except his foot is trapped, leaving him in three quarter mount. First he slides his free leg down, and sits his weight on his opponent's thighs. Now he puts his arm behind the head, grabbing the back of the gi, and connects his shoulder to the chest. Using his foot to push off the mat, Victor drives his weight toward the side of his free leg, and puts heavy pressure on his opponent and drives forward until he can free his foot and establish the mount.

From inside his opponent's half guard, Professor Kayan pulls his opponent's far lapel out of the belt, feeds it under the armpit and behind the neck to his other hand, establishing a strong cross face. Next he switches his hips so he is facing him, and then stands up to free his knee from the half guard, and cuts it across the thigh so his hips are facing away now. Now he changes the lapel grip to his other hand, with his wrist tight to the back of the neck. From here he has two options to finish. He can grab the gi at the shoulder and finish with a cross choke, or he can pull his opponent's far arm across his neck and drop his weight with his chest on the arm to finish the choke.

Starting again from collar and sleeve guard, Victor sets up his hook and pulls his opponent on top, the same as he did in the previous technique. This time after he swims his arm under the leg, his opponent stands up. Now Victor reaches to grab the pants on the far leg, and with one foot still on the hip and the other hooked behind the knee, he raises his hips to knock his opponent backward. Here he can come to the top to finish the sweep, and begin to set up whatever guard pass he likes.

Professor Victor is playing classic collar and sleeve guard, but he can't move his opponent because his base is too heavy. He drops his bottom foot between his opponent's legs, releases the sleeve grip to grab the pants at the knee, and uses his top foot to make a hook inside the thigh. Now he straightens his bottom leg as he pulls his opponent on top of him and then pushes him away, making space to bring his foot around the leg and on the hip. Next he swims his arm under the leg, and moves his foot from the hip to make a hook under the leg. He stretches his legs to push his opponent away, and stands up in base to come to the top, immediately looking to throw the leg and pass the guard.

Same as before, Nathiely drags the arm across her body with two on one grip, and pulls her opponent in with her knees. She reaches over the back to grab the armpit, and then feeds her arm over her opponent's arm and under the leg. Now she shifts her hips so she can bring her leg over the head. Here she has the arm trapped, so she can just raise her hips to finish the armbar.

Professor Rene's opponent is sitting up in butterfly guard with his arm across Rene's back, so his first line of defense is to grab the collar and drop his elbow down, preventing a good underhook. Next he posts his free arm far away on the mat, and his opponent reaches for the arm, looking to sweep. Rene now has space on the side to step his leg over into an S-mount position. From here, he pulls the arm up and swings his leg over the head to sit back and finish the armbar.

Again from the closed guard, Victor drags his opponent's arm across and escapes his hips, looking to climb to the back. But this time his opponent drives his weight back into him, so Victor swivels his hips and underhooks the near leg. Now he opens his leg wide and swings like a pendulum to sweep to the mount. Since the arm is across the body, it's easy for Victor to switch to S-mount right away and go for the armbar.

Professor Victor is playing closed guard with the sleeve and triceps grip on one of his opponent's arms. He plants both feet on the mat and pulls the arm across his body as he escapes his hips to the side. He reaches over the back to grab the far armpit, posts on his elbow and climbs on top of the back. From here he shows three options to choke. He can either pull his opponent back to finish, jump over the back and roll, or drop his hips and finish from on top.

Professor Kayan breaks down a few details on setting up the shoulder lock. When taking the back, it's important that he brings his bottom leg all the way up to the head, and even makes like a pillow for his opponent. When applying the shoulder lock, he keeps the arm hugged tight to his chest. He can also feed his arm through to go for the regular armbar as well.
